The new Sting Tracer™ is a dual channel MPEG-2
audio/video recorder and decoder designed specifically
for use in vehicles such Police vehicles, Buses etc.
The Sting Tracer™ has a USB input to accommodate
a 2.5 inch external USB hard drive. The USB hard drive
is simply plugged into the Tracer and then placed in a
shock absorbent holder.
This plug-and-play solution can record from two cameras
simultaneously (PAL or NTSC) without losing quality of
picture and stores the information in two separate files.
The USB hard drive can be removed and plugged into
any computer via the USB 2.0 connection. It can be
viewed using any standard Window Media Players or
any other DV software. In addition, the video can be
viewed live if connected to a monitor (not supplied).

from the vehicle's battery.

- The Sting-Tracer enables two CVBS, two S-Video and two stereo pairs of audio inputs as well
as one CVBS, - one S-Video and one stereo pair of audio output
- The user may watch live A/V from each one of available sources or may watch both sources
simultaneously - in Picture-In-Picture (PIP) mode
- Recording: Recording may start as a result of one the following events:
- User command from keypad
- Triggered alarm recording according to system's trigger setting
- Schedule recording according to system's schedule setting
- Triggered recording may be initiated from one of four separated discrete inputs or from
integrated Video - Motion Detection (VMD). The user has the option to set Region Of Interest (ROI) for the VMD.
- Operated using its integrated keypad and LCD display
- Four power outputs to power camera or any other device in the vehicle. Voltage options
between 5 – 12 Volts. - Built-in Time/date stamp
- Infra Red Miniature Remote Control included for viewing data on monitor and controlling
features such as - Record, Play, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Slow Motion, Capture Frame etc.
- Built-in CF card adaptor (for use with micro drive or compact flash - not supplied)
- Optional external battery for use in remote locations
